The Mtn. - The Pioneering Difference

With the nation's inaugural TV network devoted to a singe conference, MWC fans are the first with a "backstage pass" to their teams.

September 1, 2009 is more than an anniversary to Mountain West Conference fans. It represents a pioneering milestone in American sports.

Launched on September 1, 2006, The Mtn. - MountainWest Sports Network is the first network dedicated to a collegiate athletic conference. The Mtn. provides sports fans blanket coverage of MWC athletics across multiple sports. The network will feature 30 live MWC football games and over 140 live events in all during the 2009-10 academic year.

Again for 2009, The Mtn. will focus on fan-friendly start times with several double and triple-header Saturday's to provide all-day gridiron action to MWC fans.

The Mtn. ("The Mountain") is not just a source for an extensive schedule of live games. It's a groundbreaking backstage pass for fans that includes a comprehensive array of news, features, original programming and analysis about their favorite MWC teams, coaches and players. The innovative Campus Cam, a mini-studio installed on each of the nine MWC campuses, provides quick access to coach and student-athlete interviews and breaking news coverage. And while many sports networks are cutting back, The Mtn. is brining more behind-the-scenes coverage to fans than ever before with an increasing roster of original programming and special features.

The Mtn. boasts an experienced team of talent including play-by-play announcers, analysts, sideline reporters and in-studio anchors that provide viewers with extensive pre-game, halftime, and post-game coverage along with weekly and seasonal analysis and wrap-ups. The Mtn. also takes fans off the field and behind the scenes with coverage of the latest stats, press conferences, coaching developments and more.
