  • Tournament FAQ

The Mountain West Conference Men's Basketball Championship moves to the Pepsi Center in Denver after a four-year stint at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. Pepsi Center, one of the nation's finest sports and entertainment facilities, represents the best of Colorado and the Rocky Mountain West. Clear sightlines. Dramatic views. Open space.

Pepsi Center is the home of the NHL's Colorado Avalanche, NBA's Denver Nuggets, NLL's Colorado Mammoth and the AFL's Colorado Crush. Pepsi Center has a seating capacity of 19,555 and plays host to the 16-team (eight men, eight women) MWC championship for the first time.

The championship seeds are determined by the finish of each team in a 14-game regular season schedule. The men's and women's single-elimination tournament schedule can be found below. The winners of the Mountain West Conference Basketball Championship in 2004 will receive an automatic bid in the NCAA Tournament.

To order tickets for the 2004 Mountain West Conference Basketball Tournament see the box on the right hand side of this page titled "Ticket Window" or contact your favorite institution's athletic box office.
