Dec. 6, 2001
FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Colorado State University athletic department officials said today that the Rams' NCAA West Region volleyball match Friday night against the University of Nebraska in Lincoln will be broadcast live by KCSU (90.5 FM) , the school's campus radio station. "We're very excited that Colorado State's volleyball fans will have the opportunity to hear the regional match against Nebraska," said Rams' Director of Athletics Jeffrey Hathaway. "This was an opportunity for KCSU radio in partnership with the athletics department to provide radio coverage of the event that otherwise would not have been available. This is a special time for our volleyball program, and we're glad that fans in the area will be able to follow the action."
Mike Welty and Sean Walsh will call the action of Friday night's match
in Lincoln, which begins at 7 p.m. CT/6 p.m. MT. The winner of the
regional semifinal between the Rams and Cornhuskers plays either
Pepperdine or Florida - the other semifinal - Saturday night for a berth
in the volleyball's final four a week later in San Diego, Calif. If the
Rams beat Nebraska, that match will also be broadcast on KCSU.
