2007 MWC Volleyball Championship Bracket

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Mountain West Conference announced pairings for the 2007 Mountain West Conference Volleyball Championship which will be held Nov. 21-24 at Cox Pavilion on the campus of UNLV.

The championship will open with a first-round match Wednesday, Nov. 21. The opening match pits No. 8 seed San Diego State (12-15, 4-12 MWC) taking on the No. 9 seed Air Force (7-23, 0-16 MWC) at 3:30 p.m. (PT), with the winner advancing to the quarterfinals. Thursday's quarterfinal round will see No. 3 seed BYU (20-6, 12-4 MWC) vs. No. 6 seed New Mexico (16-12, 7-9 MWC) at 11 a.m. (PT), followed by second-seeded and 25th-ranked UNLV (21-5, 12-4 MWC) and seventh-seeded Wyoming (12-13, 6-10 MWC), 40 minutes after the conclusion of the BYU/New Mexico match. No. 4 TCU (22-11, 9-7 MWC) vs. No. 5 Utah (13-14, 9-7 MWC) and top-seeded and 17th-ranked Colorado State (21-6, 13-3 MWC) vs. the winner of No. 8 San Diego State/No. 9 Air Force will wrap up quarterfinal play at 4 p.m. (PT) and 40 minutes after the end of the third match, respectively. The quarterfinal winners will advance to the semifinals on Friday, Nov. 23 at 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. (PT). The championship match will take place Saturday, Nov. 24 at 8 p.m. (PT).

For the eighth straight year, the Mountain West Volleyball Championship will be televised. The quarterfinals and semifinals will be televised by The Mtn. All four of Thursday's quarterfinal matches and Friday's first semifinal contest will be shown live, with the second semifinal to be shown via same-day tape delay at 7 p.m. (PT). For the fourth straight season, the MWC Tournament championship match will be shown live nationally on CSTV. The championship contest will also be streamed live as part of CSTV's All-Access package, available on the CSTV (www.cstv.com) and MWC (www.themwc.com) Web sites.

The 2007 Division I Women's Volleyball Championship Selection Announcement Show will be shown live Sunday, November 25 at 8 p.m. Eastern Time on ESPNU.
