I'm disappointed. We needed to play a match of less errors, and I always
expect my team to do that ... I didn't think we played with confidence ...
It's obvious this is a big match ... There is a lot riding on it, and you
have to show up ... You can't win when your opponent has 24.5 blocks ... We
have a few matches left, and then we'll look to the NCAA tournament.
Kim Turner, Utah Freshman:
We had a lot of opportunities to put balls away, but we didn't ... This
was a good battle by both teams ... It just came down to the fact that we
didn't take advantage of our opportunities.
BYU Coach Elaine Michaelis:
Every time we play Utah they are well prepared ... It's hard to put the
ball away against them ... They play fabulous defense ... Our team went to
its strengths and did what we needed to do to win ... Blocking and
defense--that was it ... I'm pleased my team believed in themselves and did
well.
