San Diego State Coach Mark Warner:
I want to give New Mexico credit. They were down a player and found a
way to be in the middle of the match. They played well ... On the other
hand I don't feel like we played well. We hit almost 100 points below
our average. But we found what we needed with the match on the line.
(on Colorado State):
It is going to be a challenge. We will have to play a lot better than we
did tonight but we can play better than we did. I'm sure a lot of people
don't give us much of a chance but that is why we play the matches.
New Mexico Coach Laurel Brassey Iversen:
This match was indicative of our season ... this team fights all the time
... we only had one senior (Micaela Conley) on the floor, and she led the
team ... we played so well ... I'm really proud of this team ... This has been
a difficult week for all of us ... we were without Jessie (Goffard), our
other upperclassman, and we still came through and almost pulled out a
win ... I'm so happy we played well ... I am so proud of this group.
Micaela Conley, New Mexico Senior:
I knew coming in this could be my last match so I wanted to go out with
my best ... I knew I would need to step up as the only senior, and
everyone else came up with a great match too.
