Colorado State Volleyball Earns Second Seed In MWC Tournament 10th ranked Rams face off against New Mexico.

Nov. 15, 2004 Fort Collins, COLO. -- The 10th-ranked Colorado State volleyball team lost the coin flip to determine the top seed for the Mountain West Conference Volleyball Championship after tying with Utah for the regular-season title. The Rams, 22-3 overall and 13-1 in Mountain West play, will be the second-seed for the tournament which begins on Thursday, and will face seventh-seeded New Mexico in the first round at 7:00 p.m. in Moby Arena. Utah will be the top seed for the tournament and face Air Force in the 11:00 a.m. match, while #4 UNLV and #5 Wyoming will square off at 1:30 p.m. Third-seeded BYU will play sixth-seeded San Diego State in the 4:00 p.m. match prior to the Rams and Lobos. Colorado State has won at least a share of the last five Mountain West Conference regular-season titles and earned the right to host the 2004 conference tournament after going undefeated (14-0) in Mountain West play in 2003.
