CONFERENCE RACE COMES DOWN TO FINAL WEEK OF REGULAR SEASON
Heading into the final week of the regular season, No. 25 UNLV (21-3, 12-2 MWC) and 17th-ranked Colorado State (20-5, 12-2 MWC) remain tied atop the league standings. BYU (18-6, 10-4 MWC) maintained its third place standing, while TCU (21-11, 8-7 MWC) is fourth. Utah (11-14, 7-7 MWC) is fifth in the MWC standings, while New Mexico (16-11, 7-8 MWC) is sixth and Wyoming (11-13, 5-10 MWC) is seventh. San Diego State (12-13, 4-10 MWC) and Air Force (7-22, 0-15 MWC) round out the standings in eighth and ninth place, respectively.

WEEK 13 PREVIEW
The final week of the regular season will see seven matches on the Conference slate starting with Thursday's No. 17 Colorado State at TCU match. Two televised matches are set for Friday as Wyoming hosts Air Force in a contest that will be shown live on The Mtn. at 8 p.m. MT, while San Diego State at BYU will be shown live on BYUTV and tape delayed on The Mtn., Sunday, November 18 at 5 p.m. MT. Friday's other match pits No. 25 UNLV at Utah. League play wraps up on Saturday with 17th-ranked CSU at New Mexico, San Diego State at Utah and 25th-ranked UNLV at BYU.

ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT HONORS
Six MWC volleyball student-athletes were named to the 2007 ESPN The Magazine Women's Volleyball Academic All-District Team, announced November 8 by the College Sports Information Directors of Amercia (CoSIDA). TCU's Calli Corley, an international marketing major, was named to the District VI third-team, while Air Force senior Kim Kallabis (mathematics, operations research) and Wyoming senior Angie Hellbaum (communications) were named second and third-team District VII, respectively. Utah junior Kathryn Haynie (Pre-pharmacy) and UNLV sophomore Jessica Walters (journalism) were both first-team honorees for District VIII, while senior Kristen Castillo (nursing) earned District VIII third-team honors. All first-team honorees will be placed on the national ballot for Academic All-America.

MWC IN NCAA WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL RPI
Mountain West Conference volleyball has five of nine institutions ranked in the top-60 in the latest ratings percentage index (RPI) report released by the NCAA on Wednesday, November 7. Three MWC schools earned spots in the top-25.

No. 17 Colorado State, 25th-ranked UNLV and BYU each rank in the top-25 of the RPI report, while Utah and New Mexico placed in the top-60. The Rams are 13th on the list, while UNLV and BYU rank 17th and 23rd, respectively, followed by Utah (54th) and New Mexico (60th). TCU rounds out the conference schools ranked in the top-70, coming in at 69th.

SDSU'S AIME CORDEIRO TAKES OVER MWC ALL-TIME DIGS LEAD
San Diego State senior Aime Cordeiro passed UNLV senior Jada Walker as the MWC leader in all-time digs last week. Cordeiro, who currently has 1,905 career digs, collected 40 digs in two matches to take over the league's top spot on the career charts.

Current MWC players hold five of the top-six spots on the career digs list, as Walker has 1,899 career digs for second place, Utah senior Connie Dangerfield is third (1,465 digs), TCU senior Calli Corley is fourth (1,310 digs) and New Mexico junior Gayle Tripp is sixth (1,111).
