COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado State senior outside hitter Courtney Cox was named the Mountain West Conference Volleyball Player of the Week, marking her second award this season and fourth overall.

A native of Longmont, Colo. (Skyline HS), Cox helped No. 8 Colorado State secure the 2001 Mountain West Conference regular season title with three victories last week. Cox reached double figure kills in all three matches with 13 vs. Wyoming, 10 vs. Air Force and 14 vs. New Mexico. She added 13 digs vs. the Cowgirls for her sixth double-double of the season and posted a season-high .750 hitting percentage vs. Air Force (10k-1e-12a). Cox closed out the week with a .429 hitting percentage on 14 kills vs. the Lobos.

For the week, Cox totaled 37 kills (4.11 per game), 26 digs (2.89 per game), six blocks (1.0 per game), two aces (.22 per game) and hit .453. She also reached her 3,500th career attack vs. New Mexico and currently ranks fourth in that category in the CSU record book.
