Week 12 - San Diego State Takes Over the Lead ... San Diego State took the lead in the league standings last week at 9-3 after picking up two road wins at UNLV and Fresno State. The Rebels are currently tied for second with Colorado State at 8-3, while the Bulldogs are in fourth at 7-4. UNLV and Fresno State travel to Colorado State this week for a couple of top-four matches.
Purdy Sets MW Double-Double Record ... Wyoming senior Jodi Purdy recorded the 58th double-double of her career on Friday night against Colorado State. Purdy had 12 kills and 10 digs versus the Rams to pass BYU's Chelsea Goodman (57; 2004-07) for the MW record.
By The Numbers ... 987 - Colorado State senior Megan Plourde has 987 career kills going into this week's matches against UNLV and Fresno State.
Cranston Named Senior CLASS Award Finalist - Colorado State's Dana Cranston has been named one of the 10 women's volleyball finalists for the 2012 Senior CLASS Award®. The award honors student-athletes who excel both on and off the court, having notable achievements in four areas of excellence - community, classroom, character and competition. San Diego State's Andrea Hannasch and Wyoming's Jodi Purdy joined Cranston among the 30 NCAA Division I senior women's volleyball student-athletes named to the 2012 Senior
CLASS Award® candidate class.
