THIS WEEK IN THE MWC
No. 9 Utah remains atop the MWC standings as it went 2-0 in conference play last week. The ninth-ranked Utes swept San Diego State and UNLV to run their record to 19-2 overall and 10-0 in league play. With its two wins, Utah extended its school record winning streak to 17 matches. No. 17 BYU (18-2, 9-1 MWC) stayed one match behind the Utes, also beating San Diego State and UNLV last week. Colorado State (14-6, 8-2 MWC) maintained its hold on third place with wins over TCU and New Mexico. The Cougars and Rams have win streaks of six and nine, respectively.

A battle for first-place and a television match highlight this week's seven- match conference schedule. No. 17 BYU looks to gain a share of the league lead as it invades Crimson Court to face ninth-ranked Utah on Friday night. Sunday's TCU at San Diego State match-up will be televised by the mtn and shown via tape delay Tuesday, Oct. 31 at 7 p.m. MT.

Air Force and BYU kick off the week with non-conference tilts on Tuesday night.
