BYU ONE OF FOUR ACTIVE UNDEFEATED TEAMS IN THE NATION *The University of New Orleans is 4-0 on the season. Due to Hurricane Katrina, the remainder of the Privateers schedule has been cancelled. MWC IN THE NCAA STATISTICS Individually, BYU's Lindsy Hartsock leads the nation in hitting percentage (.475), Colorado State's Dre Downs is 8th in blocks per game (1.70) and BYU's Lauren Richards is 27th in assists per game (12.84). SAN DIEGO STATE'S CORDEIRO AND WYOMING DIG NEW RECORDS QUICK HITS BYU -- BYU went 2-0 in MWC play last week, sweeping Air Force and New Mexico...The Cougars have swept their last five matches...The Cougars are now 15-0, which ties their best start to a season since 1977 when they started the season with 23 straight wins...BYU is one of four active remaining undefeated teams in the nation...The Cougars are ranked 15th in the current CSTV/AVCA Top-25 Poll, their highest ranking since being ranked 13th the week of Oct. 15, 2001...Junior Lindsy Hartsock is currently leading the nation in hitting percentage (.475) and has recorded efficiencies of .500 or better in eight matches on the year, including a season-best .800 percentage vs. TCU on Sept. 30...Sophomore Erica Lott has recorded double-digit kills in every match this season...Senior Lauren Evans leads the MWC and is 27th in the nation with 12.84 assists per game. Colorado State -- CSU swept Texas Tech in their only action of the week...With her last kill of the match, senior Tess Rogers moved into fourth place on all-time MWC career kills chart with 1,381...Rogers is 45 kills short of passing former Ram teammate Courtney Cox for third place on the list...In conference-only matches, Rogers is the only active player ranked in the top 10, ranking fifth with 577 kills...Against the Red Raiders, CSU did not allow a service ace in a match for the first time since Nov. 20, 2004, while recording a season-high nine in the process...Senior Dre Downs recorded her 1,000th career kill vs. the Red Raiders, becoming the 17th player in school history to accomplish the feat...Downs is the third MWC player this season and the 17th player overall in league history to surpass the grand mark...Colorado State is averaging 4.45 blocks per game in conference play, which is on pace to break the all-time record of 4.12 held by the 1999 BYU team. New Mexico -- New Mexico went 0-2 in MWC play last week, losing to Utah and then-No. 16 BYU...Senior Chelsea Sondrup recorded six block assists last weekend, breaking into the all-time Lobo top-10 and currently sitting in eighth place with 210...She needs just four blocks to take over seventh place...Freshman Sarah Kwasigroch has dished out 819 assists so far this season (11.07 per game average) and is on pace to accumulate 1,150 on the season which would place fourth on the all-time UNM single-season list...The Lobos are currently 11-7 on the season and, with nine games left on the schedule, need just three more wins to assure them their first winning season since 1996. San Diego State -- The Aztecs went 1-1 last week, losing to then-15th ranked San Diego and beating TCU...Senior Lindsey Noll notched a career-high 12 total blocks vs. the Toreros...Her four solo blocks vs. USD were a career high as well...She followed with her first career double-double vs. the Horned Frogs, tallying 11 kills and tying her career high with 12 total blocks...Sophomore Aime Cordeiro leads the MWC in digs with an average of 4.77 per game...In MWC play, Cordeiro averages 4.67 digs per game which also ranks first. TCU -- TCU went 1-2 in conference play last week, sweeping Wyoming and losing to UNLV and San Diego State in three and four games, respectively...With 107 assists last week, freshman Nirelle Hampton currently sits at 806 for her career which is fifth place all-time in the TCU record books...She needs 28 assists to move into fourth place all-time...Junior Anna Vaughn currently leads the MWC in service aces per game (0.49), is third in the MWC in kills per game (3.89) and fifth in hitting percentage (.312). UNLV -- UNLV went 1-1 last week, sweeping TCU at home and losing to in-state rival Nevada, Reno, in five games...The loss to the Wolfpack ended a four-match winning streak...UNLV out hit the Horned Frogs .208-.152...Junior Lauren Miramontes led the Rebels with 15 kills and a .324 hitting percentage vs. TCU, while freshman Melody Nua had 40 of UNLV's 43 assists...Nua currently has a team-best 826 assists (11.63 per game), which ranks second in the MWC...Sophomore Jada Walker collected 39 digs vs. the Aztecs, giving her 715 for her career and moving her into fourth place on the all-time UNLV digs charts. Utah -- Utah went 2-0 in conference play last week, defeating New Mexico and Air Force in four games...Freshman Airial Salvo led the Utes with a hitting percentage of .371 (27-4-62), while netting 3.86 kills per game...The Utes recorded their best hitting weekend of the conference season last week, recording a .302 efficiency (.274 vs. New Mexico and .333 vs. Air Force)...Utah's top two hitting performances this season have come vs. the Falcons...In their first meeting of the season, the Utes hit .374 vs. AFA...Sophomore Emillie Toone has recorded six or more blocks in four of the last five matches, including 12 vs. Colorado State and seven vs. TCU...She is averaging 1.79 blocks per game during this span and currently ranks second in the MWC in blocks per game (1.40). Wyoming -- Wyoming went 0-3 last week, including a conference loss to TCU...Sophomore Rachel Smith talllied a career-high 27 kills, along with 16 digs vs. Utah Valley State last Friday and followed with another double-double (12 kills, 10 digs) vs. Texas Tech on Sunday...Freshman Carissa Lee had one double digit-digs match last weekand has now collected double-digit digs in 13 of 17 matches this season...Lee is currently fifth in the MWC in digs per game (3.54)...Freshmen Samantha Eley ranks second in the league in service aces per game (0.48).
