COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Utah senior middle blocker Lyndsey Henderson earned Mountain West Conference Volleyball Player of the Week, marking her first career award.

Henderson, from Orem, Utah, helped the 18th-ranked Utes take sole possession of first-place in the conference as she connected on 15 kills in 25 attempts with just three errors for a .480 hitting percentage in a 3-1 victory over No. 7 Colorado State on Friday in Fort Collins, Colo. She also tallied three digs and seven total blocks (six assisted) against the Rams. Henderson followed by hitting a career-best .680 (20-3-25) and tallying a team-high 20 kills and eight total blocks in Utah's four game win over Wyoming.

For the week, Henderson hit .580 (35-6-50) and averaged 4.38 kills, 1.88 blocks, 0.38 digs and 0.12 aces per game. She is currently second in the MWC in blocks per game (1.78, 116 total), third in kills per game (3.60, 234 total) and fourth in hitting percentage (.358). Her blocks per game total is currently fifth in the nation.
