Rams Win 40th Straight at Moby

Colorado State, 21-1 on the year and 7-0 in the conference, wrapped up a 3-0 week and extended its NCAA-leading home win streak to 40 matches. Courtney Cox led CSU with 19 kills vs. San Diego State and 12 kills vs. UNLV. The Rams are tied with Nebraska for the nation¹s longest overall win streak at 17 matches.

Utes, Cougars Cruise To Weekend Victories

Utah and BYU held strong at No. 2 and No. 3 in the standings after each recorded victories over New Mexico and Air Force last weekend.

Utah¹s Alisa Geddes posted back-to-back double-doubles, bringing her season total to four.

BYU¹s Sunny Tonga totaled 13 kills and hit .600 vs. the Lobos, while teammate Jackie Bundy racked up a match-high 14 kills. Nina Puikkonen totaled 23 kills in the two wins and hit .486 for the weekend.

Aztecs Win Five-Game Thriller

San Diego State outlasted Wyoming for a five-game win Friday, marking the first five-game match the Aztecs have played all season. Aspen McPartland and Monet Solberg each recorded double-doubles to lead SDSU. Melody Friehauf had a match-high 18 kills for the Cowgirls, and Michele Rauter notched her sixth double-double of the year.

Block Party

The MWC has the three top blockers in the nation in Nina Puikkonen (BYU), Angela Knopf (Colorado State) and Erin Grady (San Diego State), and after last weekend¹s matches, the triplets held true to form. Grady racked up 13 total blocks in two matches, while Puikkonen talled 10 blocks in a pair of victories. Knopf totaled three blocks in a sweep over UNLV.
