COLORADO STATE EXTENDS LEAD IN CONFERENCE RACE
Colorado State (10-4, 5-1 MWC) extended its lead in the conference standings with wins over San Diego State and UNLV last week. With the wins, the Rams jumped into the CSTV/AVCA Top-25 for the first time this season at No. 25. New Mexico (12-4, 3-1 MWC) moved to second in the MWC with a win over TCU last Friday, while No. 23 BYU (10-4, 3-2 MWC) and Utah (6-7, 3-2 MWC) are tied for third and TCU (15-4, 2-2 MWC), UNLV (11-3, 2-2 MWC) and San Diego State (10-5, 2-2 MWC) are tied for fifth. Wyoming is 1-4 in conference play, while Air Force is 0-5.

WEEK SEVEN PREVIEW
Eight conference matches are slated this week, along with three non-conference affairs. The week begins with the three non-conference matches, which pit No. 25 Colorado State hosting Northern Colorado (Tuesday), Utah hosting 22nd-ranked New Mexico State (Wednesday) and TCU hosting Oklahoma (Wednesday).

Conference play starts Thursday with Air Force at San Diego State and Wyoming at UNLV. Friday will see TCU at 23rd-ranked BYU and New Mexico at Utah. League play concludes Saturday with four matches on the docket.

UTAH'S CONNIE DANGERFIELD BREAKS UTAH'S ALL-TIME DIGS MARK
Senior Connie Dangerfield set the Utah school record for career digs in the Utes' four-game win at Wyoming on September 29.

She currently has 1,317 digs for her career which surpasses the previous record of 1,313 held by Brenda Barton-Whicker (1994-97).

MWC QUICK HITS
Air Force -- Freshman Kelly Spencer won the "Spirit Award" in the Falcons' match vs. Utah, and shared the award with fellow freshman Julia Hansen vs. BYU...Freshman Nichole Stillwell came off the bench to collect seven kills and a season-best seven assisted blocks vs. the Cougars...As a team, AFA had 9.0 total blocks vs. BYU, the second-best output of the season.

BYU -- Senior Chelsea Goodman notched her 43rd career double-double at Air Force last week, and now needs just five more to surpass the MWC all-time mark of 47 held by former Wyoming player Michele Rauter...The Cougars have played 10 of their 14 matches on the road this season, which marks the most away matches through the end of the month of September since 1997...BYU is averaging 1,708 fans per match, which ranks 15th in the nation.

Colorado State -- CSU leads the MWC and is ranked fifth in the nation in blocks, averaging 3.51 per game...Seven of the Rams' 10 victories this season have been sweeps...Colorado State is in the midst of a nine-match home winning streak.

New Mexico -- Freshman Lisa Meeter leads the Lobos with 10 double-doubles, and recorded her first match as team leader in kills vs. TCU with 14...Junior Gayle Tripp needs 94 digs to move into fourth on the Lobos all-time career digs list...She currently has 955 digs going into this week's action...UNM is 3-3 this season against teams that competed in the 2006 NCAA Tournament.

San Diego State -- San Diego State lost to Colorado State in its only action of the week...SDSU hit a season-low .092 vs. the Rams...After missing a match due to injury, senior Leah Lathrop returned to tally a team-high 14 assists...The Aztecs were outblocked for just the second time this season vs. the Rams.

TCU -- The Horned Frogs' five-match win streak was snapped in their loss at Texas State last Tuesday...Seniors Calli Corley and Loren Barry both passed the 1,000 dig mark last week...Only four other Horned Frogs have accomplished the feat...Corley needs just 56 more digs to set the all-time TCU mark...Freshman Irene Hester had a career-best 13 kills vs. New Mexico last Friday.

UNLV -- UNLV lost its only match of the week to Colorado State, 3-1...The Rebels have lost two straight MWC matches on the road, which account for two of their three losses away from Cox Pavilion this season.

Utah -- Senior Connie Dangerfield set the Utah school record for career digs vs. Wyoming last week...She currently has 1,317 for her career which surpasses the previous record of 1,313 held by Brenda Barton-Whicker (1994-97)...Utah is currently on a four-match winning streak...Junior Lori Baird had a career-high four service aces vs. Wyoming...Sophomore Stephanie Shardlow has double-doubles in each of her last four matches.

Wyoming -- Over its last four matches, Wyoming is averaging a team hitting percentage of .179...Senior Angie Hellbaum led the Cowgirls in kills in both matches last week, collecting 13 vs. BYU and knocking down 19 vs. Utah.
