WEEK TWO PREVIEW
All nine MWC institutions will be in tournament action this week which includes four matches against ranked opponents. Air Force and UNLV will host the Air Force Classic and UNLV Invitational, respectively, while No. 16 BYU will compete at the Texas A&M Invitational in College Station, Texas, and 17th-ranked Colorado State will take part in the Asics Classic in Corvallis, Ore. New Mexico travels to Fairfax, Va. for the George Mason Patriot Invitational, San Diego State will be in Waco, Texas for the Baylor Classic and Utah will compete at the 2008 Hotel Encanto Volleyball Classic in Las Cruces, N.M., while Wyoming heads to Honolulu, Hawaii, for the Honolulu Advertiser Volleyball Challenge.
WEEK ONE REVIEW
The first week of the 2008 volleyball season saw five MWC teams go undefeated in tournament play. No. 16 BYU, No. 17 Colorado State, New Mexico, TCU and Utah made it through the week unscathed in the standings as they defended their home courts against non-conference opponents. Air Force, San Diego State and UNLV also posted victories in the opening week of play.
