COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -¬ The University of Utah volleyball team earned a No. 19 ranking in the 2009 Volleyball Magazine Preseason Poll released today. Colorado State also garnered recognition as the Rams received votes in the poll.

Defending MWC regular-season champion Utah returns three starters (10 letterwinners overall). The Utes participated in their 10th NCAA Tournament all-time in 2008, advancing to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2001. Utah opens its season Friday, August 28, vs. Arizona State as host of the Utah Classic in Salt Lake City.

Colorado State welcomes back three starters and eight letterwinners to a team that advanced to the second round of the 2008 MWC Tournament. The Rams kick off the 2009 season on August 28 hosting the Asics/Coors Classic vs. Pepperdine.
