Mountain West Conference Announces 2008 Volleyball Television Schedule
July 14, 2008 COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Mountain West Conference today announced its 2008 volleyball television schedule, which features an unprecedented 11 national appearances. The Mtn. - MountainWest Sports Network will air eight matches, while CBS College Sports Network will broadcast three contests. The first television broadcast of 2008 will feature BYU at New Mexico on Thursday, October 2. DIRECTV, the nation's leading satellite television service provider will launch the MountainWest Sports Network - The Mtn. on August 27. The Mtn. will be available on channel 616 on DIRECTV CHOICE and above packages for the states servicing Mountain West Conference institutions (Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming and the designated market areas of Dallas/Fort Worth and San Diego). Customers throughout the remainder of the country will be able to access The Mtn. with a subscription to DIRECTV's Sportspack. The MWC anticipates additional television and non-conference road match information once those conferences announce their television schedules and Conference television partners release their re-broadcast program slates.
