LAS VEGAS - The UNLV Volleyball program had four student-athletes recognized for their classroom achievement, as the quartet were named to the 2008-09 Mountain West Conference Scholar-Athlete Team, announced by the league office today. Erin Greenwood, Kelsey Keeler, Tabitha Mabrey and Jessica Walters are no stranger to this honor, as each have earned the honor at least once previously.

Greenwood has been recognized with this award four times, while Walters follows closely behind with three selections. Keeler and Mabrey have each been tabbed twice.

The MWC Scholar-Athlete Award is the highest academic honor bestowed by the Conference. To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least two academic terms at the member institution, while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better, and have participated in varsity competition in an NCAA-sponsored sport.
