SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah volleyball team wrapped up last weekend with a solid showing on its home court last Saturday. The Utes went 4-0 at their spring tournament, topping Montana State, Utah State, Boise State and Utah Valley State.

Utah didn't drop a single game in the winning effort, beating all four teams by a 2-0 count.

"It was a fun day," remarked volleyball head coach Beth Launiere. "The whole team pulled together and played well on Saturday. We had good energy out on the court and I thought that it was a nice way to end the week."

The Utes open the 2007 regular season at the prestigious AVCA Showcase in Omaha, Neb., on Aug. 24-25. First up for the Utes is Pac 10 power UCLA.
