FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU volleyball team notched its 20th win of the season with a dominating 3-0 (29-27, 25-17, 25-16) victory over Boise State Saturday afternoon. Jordan Raines led all players with 19 kills in the win.

Megan Munce tallied her eighth double-double of the season with 40 assists and 10 digs. She also served up three aces and tallied five kills. Raines added a pair of blocks and six digs to her stat line. Kristen Hester led all blockers with four and tallied five kills. Sloane Sunstrum poured in nine kills and racked up 10 digs. Stephanie Holland racked up nine kills and Yvonne Igodan pitched in with eight.

A competitive first set saw the teams battle through 12 ties and five lead changes before the Frogs eventually escaped with a 29-27 win. The Broncos took early control of the set, but TCU was able to finally tie it at 17 on blast from Raines on an overpass that capped a thrilling defensive rally.

Holland and Igodan gave the Frogs a two-point lead, 22-20, on a denial at the net, forcing a Boise State timeout. TCU found itself with set point, 24-23 on a kill by Munce, but the Broncos fought off the point and earned one of their own. After fighting off the set point, a kill by Igodan gave the Frogs their third set point. Munce put the exclamation point on the win with an ace.

The second set featured eight ties early before an ace by Munce gave TCU a lead it would never relinquish. Boise State worked the set back to a 12-12 tie, but Holland had an answer with a booming cross-court blast.

From there the Frogs rolled. Sunstrum served the Frogs to a 15-13 lead. After a Boise State timeout, Hester kept the Frogs offense rolling as she served up an ace and Raines dropped in a pair of kills to make it a 20-14 contest. Hester gave the Frogs set point and Holland finished off the 25-17 win with a kill.

Holding a miniscule 7-5 lead in the third set, the Frogs took off with Hester behind the service line. Igodan and Munce helped push the lead to four, 10-6. A kill by Holland started a 5-0 run that put the Frogs up 18-9.

Hester blasted a kill to stretch the lead to double-digits, 20-10. TCU fought off a mini-run by the Broncos and earned match point on Raines' 19th kill of the match. Sunstrum locked up the win with a cross-court blast to seal the 25-16 win.

TCU improves to 20-4 on the season and 7-3 in league play. The Frogs will hit the road for a pair of league matches beginning Thursday night at UNLV. First serve is set for 9 p.m. (CST).
