Air Force Falls to 13th-Ranked Purdue Ayesha Hein paced the Falcons with eight kills.

DENVER, Colo. - The Air Force volleyball team fell in three to 13th-ranked Purdue during its final match of the Denver Invitational on Friday, Sept. 2. The Falcons dropped the first two sets by matching 25-20 scores, before falling 25-11 in the third set. Freshman Ayesha Hein led the team with eight kills, while sophomore Claire Bieber added six. Sophomore Cami Richan and junior Maiya Perich each tallied a pair of service aces, while Perich also posted a match-leading 11 digs. Freshman Hillary Keltner assisted on 19 of the Falcons' 26 kills and Hein recorded a pair of assisted blocks. A complete recap will be available shortly. Air Force returns to action next Friday (Sept. 9), when it opens the 2011 Falcon Invitational against Utah Valley at 7 p.m. The Falcons will also face South Carolina Upstate and Northern Arizona during the two-day match at Falcon Court at East Gym.
