Aztecs Set to Play Host to SDSU Fall Classic II
Third and final fall tournament to be held at Aztec Tennis Center

SAN DIEGO - SDSU Fall Classic II Brackets in PDF Format The San Diego State women's tennis team will wrap up fall action this week when it plays host to the second installment of the SDSU Fall Tennis Classic. The three-day tournament is scheduled to begin on Friday and conclude on Sunday at Aztec Tennis Center. Each day will start with doubles action and will be followed shortly thereafter by singles play. Teams slated to make their way to Montezuma Mesa include Oklahoma, UC Irvine, San Diego and 2009 NCAA Tournament participant Washington. The Aztecs enter their final fall tournament having competed in the Wilson/ITA Southwest Regional Championships nearly two weeks ago. Junior Julia Trunk advanced to the round of 16 in the singles bracket before falling in a three-set nail-biter. On the doubles side, Roxanne Ellison and Sierra Ellison stumbled in their first match, but recovered nicely to make it to the consolation final. After this week, San Diego State will not return to action until January when it kicks off its dual-match season. The Aztecs will begin their quest for a Mountain West Conference title and NCAA Tournament berth on Jan. 23, 2010, when they take on UC Riverside and Cal State Fullerton in a season-opening doubleheader.
