SALT LAKE CITY - Six members of the University of Utah women's tennis team have been named to the spring 2006 Academic All-Mountain West Conference team.

To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution, while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their athletic team.

Making the team were Karine Bourdages of Gatineau, Qubec, Canada (Fr., 3.77 GPA, Biology), Emily Kwok of Richmond, B.C., Canada (So., 3.26 GPA, Sport Management), Cheyenne Reveche of Canoga Park, Calif. (So., 3.49 GPA, Exercise and Sport Science), Cinthia Saucedo of Puebla, Mexico (Jr., 3.51 GPA, Exercise and Sport Science), Allison Hansen Sine of Salt Lake City (Sr., 3.58 GPA, Health Education), and Leigh Walsh of Dublin, Ireland (So., 3.54 GPA, Undecided).
