LARAMIE, Wyo. -

The 2001 Alpine Open Tennis Tournament will be held June 21-24 at the Wyoming Tennis Complex in Laramie.

The event is USTA sanctioned for both juniors and adults. Age divisions for juniors are between 12-18, and individuals may play in the junior division in singles and doubles action. Adults may also play in singles and doubles. The entry fee is $15 for singles in each division and $16 for a junior doubles team and $20 for an adult doubles team.

Juniors will play on June 21-22 and adults will play June 23-24. Action begins at 8:00 a.m. for the juniors on June 21 and at 7:00 a.m. for the adults on June 23. A picnic will be held for the juniors on June 21 and for adults on June 23.

For each entry $1 will be contributed to the Wyoming Youth Tennis Foundation. All other proceeds will benefit Cowgirl tennis at UW.
