ATHENS, Georgia - With two wins at the NCAA Individual Tennis Championships, senior Barbora Zahnova from Trnava, Slovakia garnered All-America honors, Wednesday.

Zahnova advanced to the Round of 16 before having to withdraw due to a stress fracture. In the main draw of the individual championships she defeated Gitte Ostermann from Nebraska in three sets, 6-2, 3-6, 6-2. Her second round victory was against Jessica Rush of Northwestern in another three set match, 6-1, 3-6, 6-0. Zahnova was scheduled to play the number one seed in the Round of 16.

"This is a great honor for Barbora, she had an excellent tournament," said head coach Craig Manning. "Both of her matches were each three hours long and she played very well. It's a great complement to Barbora and for BYU."

Zahnova and teammate Sofia Holden also competed in the individual doubles tournament but lost in the first round.
