Colorado State Women's Tennis Season Wrap-up Rams finish the 2004-2005 season 15-9.

The Colorado State tennis team finished the 2004-05 season with a 15-9 record, marking the team's most dual victories in the program's history. It also marks the second time the Rams have had back-to-back winning seasons. The last time was from 1998 to 2001 when they had three winning seasons in a row. Ram tennis finished fifth in the Mountain West Conference for the second time in a row by defeating Wyoming and Utah in the consolation bracket moving their record against league opponents to 4-6 on the year. Colorado State returns five players from this year's team in 2005-06 while adding three regionally-ranked prep stars for next season as well. CSU's Dasha Zhurin and Alex Paganetti will both retire from the collegiate ranks after 13-15 and 19-8 records, respectively, in their senior seasons. Ram Tennis wins consolation round of the MWC Championship CSU's Alex Paganetti, Carla Pallares and Anne Andersen each went 2-0 against the Cowgirls and Utes to lead the Rams their fifth-place finish. Jessica Jones added a victory versus Utah, while Ram doubles teams captured the point versus Wyoming but dropped the decision to Utah. Emily Kirchem is named to the All-MWC team Kirchem, a native of Fairview, Ore., compiled a 20-11 overall singles record on the year including a 14-5 mark at the No. 2 spot and a 2-1 record at No. 1. Kirchem posted a 4-3 mark in Mountain West play in 2005 including a three-set win over New Mexico's Maja Kovacek who was tabbed as the league's co-player of the year. In doubles play, Kirchem teamed with Anne Andersen and Dasha Zhurin for a 16-14 record at the No. 1 position. This season she was named Mountain West Conference Player of the Week twice early in the year. Ram Notes:
