FORT WORTH, Texas - After securing a spot as a host institution in the opening rounds of the 2006 NCAA Tournament, the 16th-ranked women's tennis team will send three players to compete in the singles and doubles championships.

Senior Helena Besovic grabbed an at-large bid in singles play after finishing the 2006 spring campaign with a record of 21-3. Hailing from Sarajevo, Bosnia, Besovic is currently on a 17-match win streak and is ranked 28th in the ITA polls. The senior has also been strong in doubles this season, posting a mark of 12-2 alongside junior Ana Cetnik and garnering the No. 14 position in the doubles poll. For their efforts, the duo received an at-large bid to the championships.

Rounding out the Horned Frogs' trio is sophomore Nicole Leimbach. After missing the opening matches of the spring season, Leimbach came in and tallied a 16-6 record at the No. 1 position. The Colorado Springs, Colo., product closed out TCU's Mountain West Conference Championship run with a 6-4, 6-1 win over 24th-ranked Olga Boulytcheva of BYU. Currently, Leimbach holds the No. 15 slot in the singles poll.

The singles and doubles competition will be conducted May 23-28 at the Taube Tennis Center in Stanford following the conclusion of the team championship (May 18-22). Stanford University will serve as host.
