SAN DIEGO, Calif. -

The San Diego State Aztecs will host the 2012 Mountain West Men's and Women's Tennis Championships April 26-19, 2012 at the Aztec Tennis Center on the campus of San Diego State in San Diego, Calif. This will mark fifth time in Conference history that the MW Tennis Championships will be conducted in San Diego. The Aztecs also hosted the league tournament in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006.

TCU, New Mexico and San Diego State are tied for the Conference lead with three titles each on the men's side. The Horned Frogs claimed the championship in 2006, 2008 and 2010, while the Lobos earned the tournament title in 2000, 2004 and 2009. The Aztecs were crowned champions in 2002, 2003 and 2005.

On the women's side, 2012 regular-season champion TCU has won three tournament titles (2006, 2009, 2010), while UNLV has also been crowned MW tournament champion on three occasions (2000, 2002, 2008).

The winners of the Men's and Women's Mountain West Championships receive the Conference's automatic bids to their respective NCAA Tournament.
