LARAMIE, Wyo. -

This Week: The University of Wyoming women's tennis team will now prepare for the Mountain West Conference Tennis Championships. The Championships will take place April 26-28 in Ft. Collins, Colo.

Wyoming Loses to BYU 7-0: Wyoming lost to Mountain West Conference rival Brigham Young Friday in Provo, Utah by a score of 7-0. The Cowgirls lost all six singles matches but won a match in doubles action. The Wyoming doubles team of freshmen Toni Terhaar and Jen Hancock defeated BYU's team of Sheenagh Stewart and Lindsy Porter 8-6 at the No. 3 slot. With the loss Wyoming's record fell to 4-13 overall and 0-6 in the Mountain West.

Utah Tops Cowgirls 6-1: Wyoming freshman Jenny Bowman won her No. 1 singles match but that was it for the Cowgirls as Utah defeated Wyoming 6-1 in a Mountain West Conference battle in Salt Lake City, Utah Saturday. Bowman notched her 12th win of the season with a 6-3, 7-5 victory over Cassie Kasteler in the No. 1 singles match. Utah went on to win the other five singles matches and also won the three doubles matches. With the loss Wyoming's overall record falls to 4-14 and 0-7 in the Mountain West.
