Rams' Tennis Team Moves Indoors Match vs. Colorado moved to Miramont Sport Center.
April 19, 2002 FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Colorado State University women's coach Jon Messick said Friday that the Rams' match against the University of Colorado has been changed. The match will be played at 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon at the Miramont Sport Center in Fort Collins. The teams were originally scheduled to play at 1 p.m. on the varsity courts east of Moby Arena. Messick said Saturday's weather forecast, which includes wet and cold weather, prompted the announcement Friday of the site and time switch. In perhaps the busiest weekend of the spring season, Colorado State has a myriad of events on campus this weekend, including: - The Rams' softball team, 17-22 overall and 4-6 in Mountain West Conference play, plays host to New Mexico Saturday in a doubleheader that begins at 12 noon at Ram Field just south of Moby Arena. - Colorado State's football team concludes spring practice with an intrasquad spring game at Hughes Stadium. Kickoff time is 12 noon following a free pancake breakfast staged by the Spirit Committee of the Greater Ram Club from 9:30-11:30 a.m. on the west concourse of the stadium. - Colorado State's men's and women's track teams play host to the Ram Invitational beginning at 9 a.m. at the Christiansen Track, located at the intersection of College and Pitkin in Fort Collins. - The men's golf team plays in BYU's Ben Hogan Cougar Classic Friday and Saturday in Provo, Utah. - Colorado State's women's golf team competes in the Mountain West Conference Championships Monday through Wednesday in Sun River, Ore.
