BYU's Nima Roshan and Indra Erichsen of San Diego State have been selected the Mountain West Conference Men's and Women's Tennis Players of the Week, respectively.

Roshan, a junior from Melbourne, Australia, plays No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles for the Cougars. He helped then-No. 55 BYU to three conference wins last week, all against ranked foes, as the Cougars defeated then-No. 63 Utah, 4-3, then-No. 59 New Mexico, 6-1, and then-No. 68 Air Force, 4-3. With the score knotted at three against Utah, Roshan's 6-2, 6-4 win over Tomasz Grzyb was the deciding point in the Cougar victory. Then, against New Mexico, Roshan and partner Jose Lechuga defeated the Lobos' No. 5-ranked team of Ryan Stotland and David Kowalski, 8-5. Roshan also defeated Max Jones of New Mexico in singles play, 7-6, 4-6, 1-0 (12-10), to give Jones his first dual match loss this season. BYU is now ranked No. 53 after its three wins last week.

Erichsen, a senior from Husum, Germany, plays No. 4 singles and No. 1 doubles for San Diego State. She helped lead the Aztecs to three wins last week as they defeated Wyoming, 6-1, Colorado State, 4-3, and No. 57-ranked Long Beach State, 5-2. SDSU is now ranked No. 45 nationally. Erichsen won both of her singles matches and all three doubles matches, including a three-set win over Rachael Porsz of Long Beach State, 3-6, 7-6, 1-0 (10-7), on Senior Day. Also against LBSU, Erichsen teamed with Nina Spaeth to earn an 8-6 win at No. 1 doubles to clinch the doubles point for the Aztecs.
