New Mexico sophomore Tjasa Suvak has been named Mountain West Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week. This is her second player of the week award of the season and career. Suvak, a native of Belca, Slovenia, helped the No. 50 Lobos get off to a 2-0 start in conference play by winning two individual matches and a doubles match last week. Against Utah, she beat Linn Ronnberg in straight sets (7-6, 6-0) at the No. 1 spot and teamed with Rachel Hatley to defeat Ronnberg and Sheri Esrock at No. 2 doubles, 9-7. In New Mexico's upset of 38th-ranked BYU, Suvak beat Rebecca Pike at the No. 1 position (6-4, 6-3). Suvak's spring dual match record this season is 10-6.
