COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - BYU freshman Hadley MacFarlane has been named Mountain West Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week. This is her first career weekly honor.

MacFarlane, an Ogden, Utah, native, played a big part in No. 49 BYU's 4-3 upset victory over 33rd ranked Wisconsin. With the score tied at 3-3 and down to the final match of the day, she went on to defeat the Badgers' Teresa Gonzaga at the No. 6 spot in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3 to tally the deciding point and secure the Cougars fourth win of the season. Earlier in the day, MacFarlane teamed with Nicole Schneider to beat Shana McElroy and Katie McGaffigan at No. 2 doubles, 8-6. On the season, she is 11-4 (7-0 dual) in singles competition and 16-3 (7-0 dual) in doubles play.
