Ellisons Fall in Consolation Doubles Final at ITA Regionals

SDSU completes action at regional event

Roxanne Ellison and Sierra Ellison fell in the consolation doubles final on Sunday at the Wilson/ITA Southwest Regionals.

The San Diego State doubles team of Roxanne Ellison and Sierra Ellison were defeated in the consolation finals at the Wilson/ITA Southwest Regional Championships on Sunday at Barnes Tennis Center.

The Aztec duo met Christi Andrews and Leyla Entekhabi of USC on Sunday morning and lost a narrow 8-6 decision to close out the regional event. The Ellison tandem finished the tournament with a 3-2 record.

San Diego State returns to the courts for the three-day SDSU Fall Classic II, which runs from Oct. 6 to Oct. 8 at Aztec Tennis Center.
