Colorado State Finishes Fifth Rams defeat Utah, 4-2.

SAN DIEGO - Fifth-seeded Colorado State defeated seventh-seeded Utah, 4-2, to claim fifth-place at the 2004 Mountain West Conference Women's Tennis Championship Saturday at Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego. The Rams' doubles pairs of Carla Pallares and Jasmin Singh and Tayana Ugorich and Alexandra Paganetti won matches at the number two and three positions, respectively, to tally the doubles point. Jessica Jones (No. 6), Charity Malone (No. 4) and Pallares (No. 3) were victorious in their respective singles matches, to clinch the win for Colorado State. Sheri Esrock (No. 1) and Jessica Watts (No. 5) notched points for Utah with wins in their respective matches. The Rams close out the tournament with a 13-12 overall record, while Utah finishes with an 8-18 record on the season.
