The Colorado State women's tennis team concludes its four-match
homestand Wednesday when they host the University of Denver at 2 p.m. at
Rolland Moore Racquet Complex in Fort Collins. The Pioneers enter the
match as the No. 46 ranked team in the nation with a 12-2 overall mark
after knocking off No. 56 Colorado 6-1 on Saturday. DU's doubles pair of
Yanick Dullens and Suzana Maksovic is ranked 28th in the nation with a
22-9 overall record on the year and an 11-2 mark in dual matches.
Rams Finish Home Weekend 1-2
Colorado State moved to 12-7 overall and 2-5 in the Mountain West
Conference after a 1-2 record this weekend in Fort Collins. The Rams
knocked off UTEP 5-2 on Friday before falling to No. 39 UNLV 6-1 on
Saturday and No. 40 San Diego State 4-3 on Sunday. CSU freshman Anne
Andersen finished 3-0 on the weekend at the No. 3 singles position while
Emily Kirchem and Alex Paganetti each finished 2-1 at No. 2 and No. 6,
respectively. CSU's No. 2 doubles tandem of Carla Pallares and Jessica
Jones registered a 2-1 record to lead the Rams' pairs.
Next on the Schedule
Colorado State travels to Greeley, Colo., to take on the University of
Northern Colorado Tuesday, April 19 before competing in the Mountain
West Championships in San Diego April 28-30.

Sophomore Emily Kirchem leads the team in singles play with a 19-9
overall singles record. She is 2-1 at the No. 1 position and 13-3 at the
No. 2 position in dual play.
Colorado State is 0-6 against nationally-ranked opponents this dual
season with the losses to Wisconsin, Nebraska, BYU, New Mexico, UNLV and
San Diego State.
The Rams are 2-5 against conference opponents this year. They have the
third-highest season win/loss percentage in the conference at .632,
behind BYU (.833) and UNLV (.647).
Colorado State tennis has produced three Mountain West Conference
Players of the Week this season, more than any other year in the
program's history. Emily Kirchem has claimed the award twice while Dasha
Zhurin garnered player of the week honors once. Kirchem has won the
award three times in her career while Zhurin has won the award once.
