Lady Rebels Raided Batta stays undefeated in dual matches this season.

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The 36th-ranked UNLV women's tennis team completed its weekend of action against ranked opponents by losing 5-2 to No. 32 Texas Tech on Sunday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex. The Lady Rebels fell to 6-4 overall while the Red Raiders improved to 8-2. UNLV began the day strong by taking the top two doubles matches to earn a 1-0 lead. Aleksandra Josifoska and Nives Pavlovic upset 57th-ranked Samantha Adams and Kenna Kilgo 8-2 at the top spot while Lucia Batta and Manon de Lanlay won 8-4 over Caroline Stearck and Nicki Sanders on court two. In singles, Batta, ranked 50th, remained undefeated in dual matches this season as her 6-1, 6-3 win over Elizabeth Ullathorne at the top position made her 20-6 overall and 10-0 in team play as a sophomore. The Red Raiders, however, took four matches in straight sets and won the only three-setter. Next up, UNLV hosts a doubleheader on Friday beginning with Nevada, Reno at 10 a.m. Admission to all UNLV tennis matches is free of charge.
