PROVO, Utah - Sophomores Ianeta Le`i and Paige Paramore along with junior Debbie Dodds were named to the second-team All-Region West Softball Team after recording solid performances during the 2004 softball season.

Le`i, a first baseman from Oahu, Hawai`i, earned back-to-back All-Region honors after receiving this award during her freshman campaign in 2003. She ended the season with a .348 batting average, 32 runs scored, 49 hits, 11 doubles, seven home runs and knocked in 34 RBI.

Paramore, a catcher from Allen, Texas, earned her first All-Region honor at BYU after transferring from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Paramore posted a team-high .355 batting average and 54 hits, while also tallying 11 hits, seven home runs and brought in 32 RBI.

Dodds, an outfielder from Twin Falls, Idaho, earned the first All-Region honor of her BYU softball career. This season she posted a .327 batting average, 37 hits, eight doubles, eight home runs and knocked in 30 RBI.

BYU finished its season with a 34-18 overall record, 11-8 conference MWC record. The Cougars recorded two top-15 national rankings including a No. 14 finish in batting average (.304) and No. 13 finish in scoring (5.35).

Le`i, Paramore and Dodds also earned MWC All-Conference honors with Le`i picking up a MWC Player of the Year citation. All three players will return to the team next season.
