COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The race for the softball league title continues in the Mountain West as the UNLV softball team travels to San Diego State on Saturday, May 5. The contest will be televised live on CSTV at 6 p.m. PT.

UNLV stands in second place, boasting a 9-5 league record (34-24 overall). The Rebels most recently defeated New Mexico in two of the three games in the series. San Diego State, last year's MWC regular-season champion, stands in fifth place with a 5-9 conference record (29-21 overall). The teams have met 69 times, with the Aztecs holding a slight advantage, 36-33. Last year the San Diego State won three of the four regular-season contests.

The 2007 softball broadcast schedule includes an unprecedented 11 games on national and regional television. The MountainWest Sports Network - The Mtn., will show seven games, while four games will be broadcast live nationally on CSTV. San Diego State, the 2006 regular-season champion and NCAA Tournament participant, will be featured four times this season. BYU and Utah, who also made postseason appearances in 2006, will have a combined six contests televised.
