COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - BYU senior Ianeta Le'i and UNLV freshman Christie Robinson were named the Mountain West Conference Softball Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively. It marked the third career honor for Le'i and second for Robinson.

Le'i, a native of Oahu, Hawaii, posted a .667 batting average (12-for-18) last week, including three home runs and 12 RBI. Against New Mexico, Le`i laced a game-winning RBI single to tie BYU's all-time hits record. In game two against New Mexico, she broke the record with her 226th career hit. Le`i also nailed a grand slam in the Cougars 16-1 senior day victory.

Robinson, hailing from Clinton, Wash., posted a 2-0 mark with a 2.00 ERA in 14.0 innings of work. Against Cal State Fullerton, she was touched for three runs in the second inning, but kept the Titans off the scoreboard for the remainder of the game in the 8-3 Rebel win. At home against conference-leading San Diego State, the Aztecs could only muster a single run on a sacrifice fly as Robinson handed the Aztecs their first conference loss of the season.
