Two of the Lobos' losses were to top-10 ranked teams No. 8 Oklahoma and No. 4 Arizona. Brooke Chaffe (So., 2B) led the Lobo offense with a .462 (6-for-13) batting average during the tournament. She hit her third home run of the season and drilled a two-RBI double that won the Kentucky game, 5-2, on Feb. 18. Despite going 2-3 in its own Campbell/Cartier Classic, San Diego State had two players named to the all-tournament team. Kellie Nordhagen (So., CF) hit .650 (13-for-20) and was subsequently named the conference player of the week. Summer Ehrsam (So., 3B) batted .545 to also receive all-tourney honors.
