PROVO, Utah - Carrie Farrell's single in the 16th innning scored Maren Christensen with the winning run, giving the Rams a 6-5 win and doubleheader sweep over BYU Friday.

Colorado State, 16-17 overall and 3-1 in Mountain West Conference play, won the first game 6-0 behind pitcher Melanie Mahoney's one-hit performance. Mahoney was credited with a win in the nightcap after replacing Megan Masser in the sixth inning.

Christensen led off the game-winning rally in the 16th with a single and advanced to second on Jen Mahoney's single before scoring on Farrell's base hit.

Colorado State is back in action Saturday, playing a doubleheader at Utah.
