BYU, Utah and UNLV fall in NCAA first rounds

MWC in the NCAA Tournament
BYU, Utah and UNLV all fell in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. BYU tied Weber State, 1-1, but the Wildcats advanced in a shootout (4-3). Utah fell 1-0, to Arizona, while the Rebels lost 1-0, in overtime to Cal State Fullerton.

In the Polls
BYU finished the regular season ranked 17th by the NSCAA/adidas coaches poll, 20th in the Soccer America Poll and 21st by Soccer Buzz. In the Soccer Buzz West Regional poll, BYU was ranked eighth, Utah was 13th, and UNLV took the 14th slot.

Among the Best
BYU's Erika Woodbury and Bobbi Tillotson are both ranked nationally. Woodbury is ranked eighth in the country for her goals-against average (.438). Tillotson takes the fifth spot for goals in a game (4) and points in a game (8).

BYU is listed 14th for its team shutout percentage (.570) and won-lost-tied percentage (.810). UNLV is also ranked seventh for its team shots on goal saves percentage (.875).
