The MWC went 1-3 in the NCAA Tournament. No. 4 seed Utah defeated Idaho State, 3-2 2OT, before falling to national defending champion Portland, 3-0, in Salt Lake City, Utah. BYU also fell to #7 Portland, 2-1, in the first round. UNLV traveled to No. 2 seed and third-ranked UCLA in the first round, where Rebels ultimately dropped a 6-1 decision.
