MWC Tournament Notes

* BYU will be the No. 1 seed in this week's MWC Tournament. It will mark the fourth time in the history of the tournament that the Cougars will be the No. 1 seed. The No. 1 seed has won the championship title only four of the nine years.

* BYU has won five MWC Championship titles, the most of any MWC school. Utah (2003, 2004) and UNLV (2005, 2006) have each won two apiece.

* TCU enters the MWC Tournament as the No. 3 seed, its best seed since joining the league in 2005. The Horned Frogs are also looking for their first MWC Tournament win.

* Peter Johann Memorial Field on the campus of UNLV is hosting the MWC Women's Soccer Championship for the fourth time in league history.

* The semifinals and finals of the MWC Tournament will be televised by The Mtn. The semifinals will be shown live at noon and 3 p.m. PT on Thursday, Nov. 6.
