COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - BYU junior Kassidy Shumway and San Diego State freshman Sarah Halverson have been named Mountain West Conference Women's Soccer Co-Offensive Players of the Week, while New Mexico freshman goalkeeper Kelli Cornell was named the Defensive Player of the Week.

Shumway, a native of Bountiful, Utah, scored the game-winning goal in BYU's 3-1 win over Weber State. She also added an insurance goal in the 59th minute to seal the victory. In the Cougars' 2-0 win vs. Wyoming, the junior tallied her second game-winning goal of the weekend to give BYU its sixth MWC regular-season title.

Halverson came off the bench and tallied four points in the Aztecs' 4-1 win at TCU. In just 22 minutes of play, the Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., native, scored the game-winning goal in the 70th minute of the game. In the final 10 minutes of the contest, Halverson earned a career-high two assists on goals from teammates Megan Jurado and Taylor Canatsey to secure the victory.

Cornell, hailing from San Clemente, Calif., posted her 12th shutout of the season in New Mexico's 2-0 win vs. UNLV. She faced 12 total shots and made two saves in the victory.
