SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - The Mountain West Conference Championship semifinals and title match will be televised by the mtn. - MountainWest Sports Network and CSTV. The semifinals will be televised live on the mtn. Thursday, Nov. 2, at 4:30 and 7 p.m. MT, with pre-game and post-game shows featuring expert commentary from former Utah standout Dominique Barcellona. The championship match will be held Saturday, Nov. 4 at noon MT and will air via tape delay on CSTV Nov. 4 at 9 p.m. MT. The contest will also be streamed live as part of CSTV's All-Access package, available on the CSTV (www.cstv.com) and MWC (www.themwc.com) Web sites.

The first semifinal (4:30 p.m. MT) will pit #2 seed BYU vs. the winner of the #3 seed UNLV/#6 seed Wyoming game. The 7 p.m. semifinal will feature host and #1 seed Utah vs. the winner of the #4 seed New Mexico/#5 seed San Diego State contest.

The 2006 Mountain West Conference Women's Soccer Championship will be played at Ute Field on the campus of the University of Utah, Nov. 1-4. The championship will feature the top-six institutions in a single-elimination tournament.

Bernie Guenther will be the play-by-play announcer, with Tammy Blackburn as the color analyst. Guenther has served as one of Fox Sports Network's play-by-play broadcasters for the last four years, covering SEC soccer, softball, volleyball, track and field, and swimming and diving championships. Blackburn is in her 12th season as a color analyst for college sports. She has provided color commentary for CSTV, Fox Sports, ESPN, and Channel 4 San Diego, and is the host of ITV's School and Sports Stars High School show in San Diego, a weekly show featuring student athletes from the local San Diego area.

Today's television announcement reflects the new partnership between CSTV Networks and Comcast for ownership and distribution of the mtn. - MountainWest Sports Network. The mtn. is the first ever 24-hour sports network devoted exclusively to a single conference. The mtn. will not only broadcast live games, but will air a variety of studio shows, including pre and post-game shows, which break down MWC games, preview big games on the horizon and feature extensive game highlights.
