COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Utah freshman forward Amanda Feigt and New Mexico junior goalkeeper Kristen Winters have been named Mountain West Conference Women's Soccer Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively. This is the first career weekly honor for Feight and the second for Winters.

Feigt, a Sandy, Utah, native, led the 20th-ranked Utes to a 2-0 win over second-place Wyoming last weekend, scoring a goal and adding an assist. Her assist on Bobbie Benegas' goal in the 27th minute of the match gave Utah the 1-0 advantage going into halftime. Feigt put the match out of reach in the 83rd minute with her third goal of the season, giving the Utes the victory and sole possession of first-place in the conference race going into the last week of the regular season.

Winters, a Lakewood, Colo., product, tallied two shutouts last weekend, leading the Lobos to a 1-0-1 record in conference play. In 207 minutes of action she had 10 saves while facing 28 shots, 14 of which were on goal. In UNM's 1-0 overtime win over UNLV, Winters saved five shots, while holding Anni Magliulo (tied for MWC lead in points and goals) to no goals for the match. She also had five saves in New Mexico's 0-0 double overtime tie with San Diego State, including a stop on a goal attempt in the final minute of regulation and diving save in the final seconds of the first overtime. On the season, Winters has 92 saves and five shutouts in 1, 445 minutes in goal.
