MWC Quick Hits

Air Force (3-12-2, 0-5-1 MWC)

* Air Force has wrapped up its conference slate and does not play again until the Mountain West Championship, Nov. 3-6, in Provo, Utah.

* Freshman goalkeeper Jennifer Drew set Air Force freshman records with 1,546:54 minutes in goal and two shutouts.

* The Falcons are 3-5 all-time at the MWC Championship.

* Air Force has lost 10 of its past 12 matches. The other two matches were ties (1-1 vs. UC Davis, Oct. 1 and 1-1 vs. BYU, Oct. 16). The Falcons' last win came Sept. 10 vs. Jacksonville State.

BYU (6-9-4, 2-1-2 MWC)

* BYU concludes its regular season, Oct. 30, when it faces arch rival Utah in Salt Lake City.

* The Cougars lead the all-time series with Utah, 12-3-0, and are 5-2-0 on the Utes' home field. However, Utah has won the past three meetings.

* Jaime Rendich leads BYU with nine goals, while Bobbie Tillotson leads the team with eight assists.

New Mexico (5-10-0, 1-4-0 MWC)

* New Mexico wraps up its regular season against Wyoming, Oct. 30, in Laramie. The Lobos are 7-2-1 all-time vs. Wyoming.

* Freshman Katelyn Ley leads the Lobos with seven points and three goals this season. Fellow freshman Jordan Johnson also has three goals. Kristine Sweat leads the team with four assists.

* Junior goalkeeper Kristen Winters set the New Mexico record for victories with 20 after the Lobos defeated Air Force, Oct. 10. Winters is also just one shutout shy of tying Melissa Liston for the UNM record with 18. Winters is third all-time in saves as well with 269.

* New Mexico is 4-2-0 when it scores first and is 3-3-0 at the UNM Soccer Complex.

* New Mexico's roster features 13 players from the state of New Mexico, the most ever for a Lobos women's soccer team.

San Diego State (6-6-5, 3-0-2 MWC)

* San Diego State is tied with UNLV for the conference lead with one game to go. The Aztecs play the Rebels at home, Oct. 30.

* The Aztec defense has not allowed a goal in five Mountain West Conference games and over the past 567:52. It is the longest streak in the program's 16-year history. San Diego State has not given up a goal since losing 1-0 to No. 3 Washington, Oct. 3.

* San Diego State goalie Sophia Perez currently has a 0.59 goals against average. The Aztec single season record is 0.61 set by Katherine Judkins in 1998.

* After going 593:50 without scoring a goal from Sept. 26-Oct. 9, the Aztecs have scored four in the past 196:12, a span of three games.

* Courtney Burns was honored as the MWC Co-Offensive Player of the Week, Oct. 25.

* San Diego State head coach Michael Giuliano earned his 200th career victory, Oct. 22, as the Aztecs defeated Air Force, 2-0. It is his first season at San Diego State.

UNLV (11-3-2, 4-1-0 MWC)

* UNLV is currently tied for the MWC lead with one game to go. The Rebels are 4-1-0, while San Diego State is 3-0-2. The two teams square off in San Diego, Oct. 30.

* Annii Magliulo became the school's all-time leading scorer after tallying a goal vs. Air Force, Oct. 24. With 68 points, she surpasses Anita Pedford's mark of 66 (1998-2001). She is also tied for most goals with Pedford at 25 and holds the school's assist record with 18.

* Jenna Huff and Desiree Kelly combined for UNLV's eighth shutout of the season vs. Air Force, Oct. 24. The eight shutouts are just one shy of the Rebels' record of nine set last year.

* Twelve Rebels have combined for 25 goals this year.

* Freshman Katie Carney was honored as the MWC Co-Offensive Player of the Week, Oct. 25.

Utah (11-4-2, 3-1-1 MWC)

* The Utes are 13-2-2 in MWC regular-season games under head coach Rich Manning, never finishing worse than second place.

* Utah has six shutouts this season, led by Ashley Mason with four.

* Utah is 5-2 vs. NSCAA/adidas Top 25 teams under coach Rich Manning. The Oct. 1 win vs. UCLA was the Utes' first contest against a ranked team this season.

* Ten players have accounted for at least one goal this season for Utah. Freshman Chelsea Card and sophomore Amanda Feigt each have tallied five goals. Kim Lloyd has a team-best eight assists.

* Utah has outshot its opponents this season 218-145 and has a 102-61 advantage in corner kicks.

Wyoming (8-6-4, 2-3-0 MWC)

* Wyoming's 3-2 overtime win against BYU, Oct. 21, was the Cowgirls' first ever win over the Cougars. Wyoming was 0-9 all-time vs. BYU and had only scored three goals in those nine contests.

* Junior Mercy Adetoye is currently fourth all-time at Wyoming in career goals with 14 after scoring two vs. BYU, Oct. 21. Her seven goals this season ties Mari Gomes for the second-most goals in a season by a Cowgirl and her 19 points is also second-best all time.

* Senior Mari Gomes is second all-time with 16 career goals. Her seven goals in 2004 is the second-most in a single season in Wyoming history. She is third all-time in points with 35.

* The Cowgirls have outshot their opponents 322-240.

* Wyoming has already played in six overtime games this year, a new Cowgirl record. They are unbeaten in overtime with a record of 2-0-4.
